Is it too much to ask you do it inside?

Just popped into the kitchen to put cooled dinner in the fridge. Look out the back window to see neighbors over the back doing it against their back fence, in the alley, for anyone looking out to see. They're clothed but it's completely obvious what they're doing.

I don't have kids. They have at least 4. Is it really that difficult to use the bedroom? I can also see their kids watching telly through their window.

I've not long moved in here and curtains for the kitchen didn't seem so urgent until now.
Wasn't trying to peep. Totally unavoidable in close together terraces. Just shocked and shook.

YABU - you do it where you can as a parent
YANBU - throw a blanket over them so you don't have to see.

Presuming it's dark and you have the kitchen light on what could you actually see?
Would you load the dishwasher in the dark while looking out of the kitchen window?

Luredbyapomegranate · 25/12/2021 20:04

🤣 Jesus fucking Christ.

Longingforatikihut · 25/12/2021 20:04

No. The silly beggers have a home made Blackpool illuminations up in their yard year round. Better lighting than strictly come dancing. Clearly haven't put two and two together to realise they're very obvious.

Move away from the window & mind your business.

Sparklingbrook · 25/12/2021 20:09

I think get yourself a roller blind in that case and let them get on with it. My kitchen blinds are shut and I couldn't tell you what my neighbours are doing. They might be doing a naked conga down the street for all I know.

thatsnotabadger · 25/12/2021 20:11

Go out and bang pots and pans a la clapping for the NHS. Clap for the shaggers?

VanLife · 25/12/2021 20:12

🤣🤣

Santahatesbraisedcabbage · 25/12/2021 20:12

Clap?

Grimchmas · 25/12/2021 20:13

I'd yell something at them.

YANBU, it's not legal for a reason!

Grimchmas · 25/12/2021 20:14

Clap for the shaggers

Let's hope they're using protection

Is it illegal to have sex in your own garden if the neighbours have no window coverings?
Grimchmas · 25/12/2021 20:18

@sparklingbrook isn't it public indecency? Surely you can't just share outside in view of others just because the garden is yours?! (Doubting myself now)

Grimchmas · 25/12/2021 20:19

Shag*. Although I guess share is also true Xmas Grin

Riapia · 25/12/2021 20:19

It’s Christmas the time when families come together.😁

Grimchmas · 25/12/2021 20:20

Also, I think they're in the alley rather than their garden

nitsandwormsdodger · 25/12/2021 20:20

I’d be tempted to do performance shagging
Can you quickly arrange a threesome?

toots111 · 25/12/2021 20:20

Open the window and shout ‘waahaaay’ at them

Grimchmas · 25/12/2021 20:21

@nitsandwormsdodger ROFL

Only if you know the neighbour would be looking? They were on their own land, they weren't aware of the audience presumably? They could have gone and done it in the middle of the road if they wanted one...

Dentistlakes · 25/12/2021 20:22

It’s revolting to do that in close proximity to other people’s homes. I would ignore it if it’s a one off but would certainly be having a word if it became a regular occurrence.

Sparklingbrook · 25/12/2021 20:23

@Grimchmas

Not in full public view? And whose alley is it? Maybe we need a diagram? Grin
Longingforatikihut · 25/12/2021 20:24

@Sparklingbrook they're not in their garden. They're in the alley that separates out gardens. A public road effectively. Also I didn't stay to watch. As soon as I realised what they were up to I left.

Hey its Christmas, at least they are not arguing with each other.
