Is this what I think it is??

Been in close contact with someone who has now tested positive for covid, so I’m doing lateral flows for 7 days. I’ve got a sore throat, but not really a sore throat it feels more like tonsillitis! It’s painful only on one side & only when I swallow. I feel fine apart from when I swallow. Do we think it’s tonsillitis or covid? LFTs have been negative so far.

If as you say your parents will be seeing you Nana over Xmas too I would not go. Because I know I could never forgive myself if I passed it to my Nana and she got sick.

I had a scratchy throat on one side. Lateral flow negative but to be on the safe side had a PCR on Wednesday at 12.30pm. Negative result next day at 9.15am.

My sore throat never developed into anything but I think it was dry from the heating being on longer than I normally do, acid reflux, mask wearing and sleeping with my mouth closed.
