I'm unsure at when it is time to consider it?

Posting for traffic.

I had miscarriage over two years ago, the same topped TTC started again another miscarriage after a year.

Since last miscarriage have been trying 5 months.

At what point do people start considering IVF?

If you have had 3 consecutive miscarriages OP your GP should be starting you on referral for recurrent miscarriage.

In the meantime its worth asking GP about trying 150mg aspirin daily if you conceive. If you have clotting type issues it may help.

I had 3 rounds after trying for 3 years.

First failed and the other two ended in miscarriage. We had ICSI and IMSI to help pick the best but it still didn’t work for us unfortunately.

We're starting our second attempt in January. I've had 4 ectopic pregnancies. Well, I had 2, then a laparoscopy and the following cycle resulted in DS being conceived naturally (they had cleared my tubes). Then tried again and had another 2 ectopics. I then had my left tube removed. We are still trying to conceive naturally with only the 1 tube when not going through an ivf cycle. It's possible that I'll conceive naturally but chances are low. I'm about to turn 39, we've ttc #2 for four years. My ivf is being fully funded until I turn 40, so we've got next year to get it done...and two more possible attempts.

I am sorry for your losses and the pain.

Before focusing on IVF, I would have more tests to figure out. Also, search for a fertility expert (specialist) that you feel comfortable with and that you can trust. It is important because later when they suggest treatments and/or tests, you will be sure they're doing everything they can.
