I am just over 8 weeks pregnant. Due to early bleeding I was seen by the early pregnancy team where I found out that my HCG levels initially doubled but then began to rise much more slowly. The blending stopped a couple of weeks ago and the 7 week scan was fine and I found out I was having twins- both heartbeats were seen and everything looked fine. The midwives at EPU said that HCG levels aren't relevant and they just go by scans but everything I read online contradicts this. I asked another midwife today at my booking appointment and she said she didn't know what the levels should be and if they indicate viability or not. I have a consultant appointment in two weeks so will ask again then but does anyone have any experience where they had low rising HCG levels which resulted in a healthy baby?
My levels were:
First test- 202
48 hours later- 421
7days later- 492
7days later 1063
I really appreciate any shared experiences, I have tried posting in pregnancy forum but no responses and I can't stop thinking about it.
