Brass band playing outside the supermarket invoked a lump in my throat and feeling a bit emotional.

Why?

Anyone else?

Never fails to hit me in the feels.

Ciaram55 · 21/12/2021 13:39

Children singing Away in a Manger does it to me every time.

Absolutely LOVE a brass band and choir singing too, always gets me teary.

AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 21/12/2021 13:49

Me, too, and I'm not remotely sentimental!

Two years ago I was at Paddington Station as the Salvation Army did a rousing rendition of a Queen song (can't recall which one, now). It gave me goosebumps and when they finished I burst into tears. It was very moving and really got me in the feels.

OliviaKeeling · 21/12/2021 13:53

Every time. I hear two notes and I'm blubbing. Brass bands, Sally Army or just children singing do it for me.

Lemonyfuckit · 21/12/2021 13:58

Me too! Always thought it was just me being soppy.

IKissedSantaClaus · 21/12/2021 14:10

I'm the same! Thought I was just being a bit daft.

Any kind of procession makes me a bit teary but for some reason I cannot cope with a marathon. We used to live on the marathon route and I'd go out every year to cheer the runners. I had to wear sunglasses (whatever the weather) because I was in floods of tears the whole time Confused Something to do with the combined effort of all these strangers, the hours of training, pushing themselves to achieve, and raising money for good causes they have been affected by? I'm not sure but it gets me every time.

Oh yes on the runners too.

Was it the Sally Army? You're not alone it always chokes me up too.

woodhill · 21/12/2021 15:03

So emotional and the carols are lovely

woodhill · 21/12/2021 15:05

@SpookyScarySkeletons

My husband once disowned me in Meadowhall while Christmas shopping. There was a gospel choir singing O Holy Night. God I was in bits!!!
Especially that song

I Remember when it was featured in CTM and I was very tearful

Mamamamasaurus · 21/12/2021 16:25

Every single time. Every one. Same goes for football matches for me, I can't explain it, I've never been to one, it's something about big crowds. Flash mobs, large audiences, don't even get me started on nativity at DC's school......

LuaDipa · 21/12/2021 22:03

Brass bands and kids singing carols bring a tear to my eye. I can barely make it through an hour without blubbering at this time of year. The kids think it’s hilarious and often sabotage my car Bluetooth with bloody children’s Christmas choirs on the school run. I would also laugh if I wasn’t bloody bawling.
