I’m 32f and Iv worked with the same company for years just lately since Iv got pregnant they have been treating me very unfairly. They have moved me to a different location twice I have had to take 2 pay cuts and now they have slashed my Christmas rota in half for someone else so I’m only getting half my hours and will be offered last min shifts that I won’t be able to take as I have a young son too what can I do I just want a stable rota

Are you a member of a union?
Can you talk to ACAS?

1987qwerty · 18/12/2021 20:19

What did they say when you asked why?

girlmom21 · 18/12/2021 20:20

I thought you were telling us your bra size and that's why they were treating you unfairly when I read 32f 🙈

What does your contract say?

Ajkappa19 · 18/12/2021 20:29

I’m contracted to 160 hours per month I was doing 210 per month dropped to 200 first relocation then 185 now 90 hours

That they always had someone else for the first week of Xmas so they have cut my rota in half and when Iv asked about the relocation they said the service user needed a steady team which apparently because I will have maternity appointments I won’t be able to provide

Join your union, and get there advice on it, they might need you to move teams but I am doubtful they can use medical appointments as an excuse to cut your hours. Join the union though, they are the experts.

blueluce85 · 18/12/2021 21:15

ACAS - speak to them ASAP for advice. Sounds discriminatory to me. Also they should give you proper notice to alter your contract

LittleOwl153 · 18/12/2021 21:37

What do you do? Could you look for another job? You shouldn't have to but their attitude is unlikely to change and it will just add to the stress.
If you feel up to it get intoucb with your union/acas and hit them with pregnancy discrimination....
