@Bananaandpears

Thanks. Yes, I suppose I was wondering if they were an alternative to actual fruit - she really doesn’t seem to eat much with me at all. Breakfast isn’t too bad but then she regularly refuses lunch and dinner, or has tiny mouthfuls. Yet she seems to eat fine at nursery - no idea why. I’m really looking forward to having her home for three weeks but I’m also a bit stressed about the food!
13 months is still pretty young and all babies are different...for example, my baby only just got the hang of apples and pears around 15 months (later than her peers) - they were too crunchy and she would choke dangerously. She also dislikes banana (my in laws all dislike banana, it must be genetic!)

So we still use the pouches sometimes as well as those kiddilicious crisps and other ready made baby snacks, between meals. (For proper meals she just has what we're having).

However I do also recommend raspberries, blueberries, cut up grapes, cut up orange segments, cherries (stoned and halved), cherry tomatoes (halved) and other soft fruit. We are going to try raisins this week but she might not be ready.

Ps my baby also ate better at nursery than at home for months and has only recently started enjoying proper meals at home. She's just a breastfeeding ADDICT lol she can get violent if she can't get her fix

My 2.5 yr old eats them daily as a snack or in lunch box.

One of my uncles (in his 50s) eats one of the pureed apple pouches for a snack every day...

Nothing wrong with it for a snack as long as the kid is eating some normal age-appropriate foods at other meals.

Just remembered the HIpp peach and pear purée. 26 years ago. Husband and I used to hope she wouldn’t finish it because it was fantastic on Cornish Clitted cream ice team. In the end, we bought our own Blush

My 13 YEAR old quite likes them 😂

I sometimes get the ones that are just strawberry or apple or something that’s just fruit purée because my 7 yo likes them and can be quite funny about fruit and veg, but his big sister gets hold of them too! They eat normal food the rest of the time, they see this as a sort of smoothie

If they have teeth try slicing fruit into thin slices/strips. Cooking apples into applesauce works well and you can freeze it in portions. Tinned peaches (in juice) are rather soft and easy to eat. My 20 month old still has a fruit pouch often while in carseat and as a bit of bribery.

It's fine. It's just compote really.
