Dd is 25 suspects she has pcos unable to get confirmed as the GP won’t do much. She has very irregular periods though. She’s told me she doesn’t use conception as it’s unlikely she would get pregnant. Aibu to think if you don’t want a baby you should use conception.

That was how my niece got pregnant. She had PCOS and figured that she didn't need contraception as I had PCOS and needed IVF to get pregnant. The small detail that I was born with PCOS, but she had PCOS because she was severely overweight and that it would disappear when she lost weight escaped her attention. She lost almost 30 kilos and got a new boyfriend who had no fertility issues unlike the former boyfriend. Her child is a toddler now. Oh well. She was in her mid twenties and has a job and is still together with the father of her child.

My cousin has PCOS and very irregular periods. Which is why she didn't realise until about 20 weeks she was pregnant with her daughter.

I had fertility treatment due to PCOS. My gynaecologist explained it as the following "PCOS does not make it easier or harder for conception. The problem is that you do not ovulate as often, and it is impossible to predict ovulation"

She also pointed out that many young women with PCOS don't even realise they have and go on to get pregnant naturally simply because they usually have a lot more sex than older women so they have a higher chance of getting the window right.

I fell pregnant naturally with DD. By the time I took a test, by dates I was already 12 weeks. But of course, due to PCOS, I was in fact only 8 weeks.

Your DD is just asking for an unplanned pregnancy and is being very very silly.

What she's doing is called trying to conceive. When I was 23 my GP said PCOS was a possible cause of some problems I was having. In my mid thirties I got pregnant first month of trying - three times.

Ha. I have PCOS. I was told by my doctor that it'd be very unlikely that I'd fall pregnant without medical intervention.

First time I came off the pill to try I was pregnant in 12 weeks. Second time? 2 weeks.

I am very lucky.

Your daughter is being very very silly!!
