Presents for 3mo?

Just generally wondering if any of you would get any Christmas presents for your 3 mo?? I honestly don't see the point as he won't remember and all extended family will be getting him something, so I might aswell put that money into an isa for him?? Or AIBU and should I still buy him stuff

Nothing to do with Christmas but I second the 'write a letter' idea. My husband did it for our son, to be opened at 18. He passed away suddenly when our son was 6, so the letter is very very precious indeed.

I bought and filled a stocking for my 6 week old which I did think at the time was probably a bit pointless. I filled it with stuff like woolly socks, baby bath products etc. that we’d need anyway.

As per PP, we are doing a stocking for the 3mo or else DC1 would be suspicious! I've included a cuddly teddy, feet finders and some baby sensory style toys

DC1 was 10 months at his first Christmas. We just got him one small shape sorter ball thing. He had tons from everyone else.

That's really sad, but what a lovely thing to have to remember your husband with @witsendeverytime

The word bittersweet was invented for this post.

So sorry for your loss, but at least your son will know how much his dad loved him.

I don't have kids, but I'd go with a rattle or pram toy or something. Although it's not quite the same, but our dog always gets a toy at Christmas.

@Garman

What the hell is with the people suggesting computer games for a 3mo? 🤔
Pretty sure it's a joke...
NewPapaGuinea · 10/12/2021 11:47

My son was born in December and I bought him a steiff bear for his first xmas thinking it would be “his bear”. How naive of me! His favourite soft toy is a cuddly husky I won in a raffle 😂

DS will be 5mo. Weaning equipment (high chair, spoons, etc) and clothes.

soughsigh · 10/12/2021 12:26

I'll have a 3mo. I might wrap some toys that I already own so she has something but won't actually be getting her anything. Don't think we did anything for DS either, he was just shy of 3m on his first Christmas.
