AIBU?

Ok, I know I'm not - but can you believe this?

We were supposed to be going to see the CBeebies Live show tomorrrow at the Nottingham Arena. I booked the tickets back in May for my sister and I, and our three daughters aged 7, 4 and 3.

I got the tickets out yesterday to discover that the adult seats were on Row E - and the girls' seats on Row L! Seven rows behind us!

After several telephone conversations I've eventually managed to get a refund, but I'm not happy - I booked those tickets seven months ago so that we'd have good seats near the front, all together.

Couldn't one adult have sat with one child and one adult sat with the other two children?

Don't you book your seating position at the same time you book and pay for your tickets?

.....

can't believe that......how awful. not like you did it last week!

to be honest tho I would have turned up and created a stink until they seated us all together....even if it meant them paying people to go into some other seats or swap people in some way.

no YANBU.......but rant away anyway

Yes todaytoday, we could have done that, but the idea was with the five of us sitting together, if one of the girls needed the toilet we didn't have to all go.

nametaken they did offer to swap for five together - but right at the back . I'd deliberately booked it early so that we could all sit together quite close to the front.

I know it's not earth shattering, but I'm annoyed!

Sorry confused when you book don't you choose your seats ??

No, I did it over the phone and they just allocated the best seats that they had at the time - they said. Obviously they didn't mention that we would be split up.

why don't you write an email to complain?

i know this doesn't help you, but this year Ticketmaster are doing printable ie non posted tickets. I'm quite impressed by that - no wondering when the tickets will arrive!

That's good alittlebitshy, I'll have to look at that for future.

I would have emailed - but couldn't find an email address for them! I tried their local number, and when I eventually got to speak with someone on the 47000th attempt, was told I'd called the wrong place, I needed to call the 0870 ticket hotline.

It's (sort of) sorted now, in as much as they've offered me a full refund, I'm just having a rant

It is normal to have tickets just before the event.

I would be writing a very snotty letter thats really bad our poor dd's must be really disapointed

I've pacified the dd's by telling them we'll go to the panto instead. And I think I'll book the tickets in person

Revenge may yet be mine - at lunchtime, when I was well p'd off that they weren't returning my calls, I telephoned the local radio station. They've just called back and recorded a phone interview....

As someone who used to sell tickets to this type of event at another venue that is SO not on.

What a bodge up. We would occasionally do a 4 and a 3 the row behind but would always tell the customer this.

They COULD have found you some seats

I've just been on the local radio!

(actually, it worked out quite well as dd2's not well today, but don't tell them that!)
