To think that £22 to have the ends trimmed is expensive.

@Divebar2021 its not a con 😂😂 you still need to cut every bit of hair.

One standard price is good - its cuts down different interpretation and arguments about what constitutes a trim versus restyle - if you had layers for example, that were long and decided you wanted to take them shorter - technically that is a restyle, but its the same amount of work, just a different amount of hair on the floor.

There will be some clients who require more time than average, some less.

(To note, this kind of debate is one of the reasons I left the industry, its tiring having to deal with people who think its all a con like this despite having zero technical knowledge of the trade)

I pay 15 pounds to have a dry trim and layers

@Bigoldhag

Let me preface by saying I have a fantastic hairdresser who I love and I’m not slagging off the industry. I guess I can remember when hairdressers used to have a price for a trim and a separate one for a cut (re-style) and then the trims gradually disappeared off the list of options. If you used that option I can get why it felt like a jump in price. I’m thinking of hair like my daughters (9) though which is long and all one length. Once you get into layers and shaping though that’s not a trim to my mind and I can see how having to explain it would get old.

Mine is long all one length it was basically just a small trim off the ends to neaten it up
