This poem sums Boris and the government up for me.

"Boris is extremely hard working and has had a lot to deal with since he has been Prime Minister. Brexit and a pandemic, completely unexpected. He has lead us through both with style and good humour and so it is not unreasonable for him to let his hair down from time to time."

Thank you thank you thank you for giving me the first real belly laugh of the day.

You could also add a sentence about his powerful physique and his thick gold coloured hair?

MadDeleine · 03/12/2021 14:41

He is also very good with children, I have heard.

MadDeleine · 03/12/2021 14:43

And at the party five loaves of sourdough and a couple of salmon fillets seemed to feed all the attendees, whilst water was turned into Moet.

Indeed he and the many children who flock to him keep Peeper pig in business.

Its very rare for an incumbent party to secure more than 50% of the vote in a by-election. Let's see your working out on this claim.
The chairman of the Conservative party said so this morning, no more working out required.
Claudethecat · 03/12/2021 15:02

Shame the share of the vote was down from 64.5%, though.

You're funny.

Claudethecat · 03/12/2021 15:06

What about Chesham and Amersham, a resounding vote in support of Johnson's leadership?

I am not sure what you find funny in a statement of fact.
@jgw1 - is that you Carrie?

Brexit wasn’t unexpected - Boris wanted it!
I agree that if Boris had died when he got COVID back in spring 2020 the government shit-show would have been even worse than it was, however I wouldn’t say he has or leads with style and his “humour” sometimes comes across as crass.
Boris not only wanted Brexit, but he lied and manipulated the British public so he got it.

Shades of claig here. What happened to dear claig?

LemonRedwood · 03/12/2021 16:18

Track and Trace for example?

I agree, a very useful service provided by Royal Mail. Nothing to do with Boris though.

Test and trace however has been an utter shambles.

Oh, I used a wrong word. boo hoo.

The point remains that Test and track is excellent.

SwanShaped · 03/12/2021 16:36

I love Brian Bilston - he often parodies songs (this isn't his best, but captures the moment). His poem "Refugees" is probably the most well- known.
