AIBU to worry about my kidney function change in the space of two weeks?

It went from 140 to 90

I am pregnant and I have kidney issues but it didn't affect my function last time and I've never had function issues

Now they said my kidney function is fine but why has it deteriorated so much? Should I probe further?
AIBU to think this is a massive change?
Thanks

What exact test is that though? If it's creatinine, then 90 is better than 140. If it's your eGFR, then anything above 60 is normal, and actually 140 is quite unusual!

It's the GFR

Creatinine was 35
Potasium 3.8
Sodium 134

Thank you

Then the creatinine went to 33
Potasium stayed the same
Sodium too

From 141 -90 in like 2 weeks

I'm worried I've got hydronephrosis and it hurts but only on one side

Last time I had this I had to have a urine bag

Not sure if the function is going to become an issue if this is a red flag

Not actually scheduled to see urology they said they made a referral but they didn't (labour ward when I was admitted) so I've asked to change consultants as I've still not seen mine yet she missed two appointments. I have an appointment soonest with my new consultant in January on 17th I can't see how it would be ok to wait so long to do another check on my kidneys

Ah, so your creatinine is quite low, and actually the kidneys get rid of creatinine better during pregnancy (clever bodies!) so pregnant women can have a lower creatinine - more excreted in urine means less in your blood.
Not sure why your eGFR has changed so much though - as a rule of thumb the lower the creatinine, the higher the eGFR (it's called eGFR as it's estimated, a calculated GFR needs your weight). So it almost seems as though your creatinine might have been even lower previously. If you have a low body weight, or your weight has changed alot since the last blood test, that might possibly explain it.
In essence, your eGFR is well within normal limits, but if you're worried check with your Dr.

Sorry - cross post.

Hydronephrosis usually makes the kidneys work less well, thus increasing your blood creatinine - into the 100s, and dropping your GFR to below 20/30 or lower.
So, really not sure what it all means - sorry!
If your GP requested the bloods, they should be able to chase up any referrals etc

Thank you so much for this info it's put me at ease

I really appreciate it

I'm quite small I'm about 50kg now and I'm 22 weeks pregnant it might be to do with that

Thanks so much
