Ever since DS started preschool in September we haven't been able to go 2 weeks without some sort of runny nose/ cough/ cold.

I'm pregnant and seem to catch it every single time.

I know I'm being unreasonable I'm just utterly fed up with the sleepless nights the countless covid tests and feel so sorry for DS who never even had a runny nose before starting school.

Please tell me your house is the same!

Given current news - how dc with over 90 % attendence are hounded but dc who are being abused at home aren't noticed makes for a sad fucked up world.

I feel you! I have a newborn and a 3yo. We have all had constant colds since she was born, including the newborn. She is 2 months and is now on her second cold (but handling it better than her father).

YANBU, it’s miserable. I remember a truly awful autumn and winter when my son was 3 (so had started preschool in the September). It was constant - colds, tummy bugs, flu, random rashes, hand foot and mouth, conjunctivitis, everything. DS brought it all home from preschool and DH and I caught it from him. We were ill constantly from the first week in September until April with maybe a 3 clear weeks (separate weeks, not a run of 3 weeks) in that whole time period. I remember crying on the floor because I felt like we would never be well again and I was so tired.

As he got older it did get better, although once they’re in school I find that kids have a low level cough or cold for the entire autumn and winter. But this year even though DS is now 12 we are right back in that autumn/winter of 9 years ago. I think it’s because we were locked down for most of the season last year so the viruses didn’t circulate and tHereford we have low immunity. I have had 3 healthy days since the first week in September and DS has had maybe 2 weeks. At the end of my rope with it.
