I'm so glad for Barbados and Barbadians.
Anyone else?
Why has this been so underreported?

Prince Charles attended. I saw it on the BBC plenty

Required response?

Eh?

It's MN people post what they like (within talk guidelines).

And no one has to click on, let alone read and comment on any thread.

There seem to be essentially two groups with different opinions on here and tada! Fight!

And it's AIBU. So. Say what you fancy!

@LobsterNapkin

Yeah, it was on the news here in Canada, we don't usually get the normal goings-on from Barbados.

I tend to agree with the poster above, I might be a bit concerned about what China is up to with this if I lived there. For all that the various republican boosters are cheering, constitutional monarch is a system that is designed to constrain and focus power into the service of the public, not a consideration in Chinese foreign economic policy.

I thought that, I hope they don’t regret it

I don’t think it’s been under reported.

I’ve heard several mentions on the news and it was in the paper - and I don’t listen or watch the news all day.

Some years ago when were were there on holiday, a fellow tourist said to a local lady, ‘I see you have our Queen on your stamps!’

Local lady said very emphatically , ‘Our Queen!’
