Never used them (been put off by the fact it’s all a bit MLM hub) but am wondering whether I should take the plunge as there’s a couple of rooms in the house I have diffusers in but they’re not great. Does the fragrance last?

You don't need to buy from the MLM huns if you don't want to, you can buy Yankee, however personally I detest the smell of most Yankee, but there are other ones.
I know not popular here, but I like the Scentsy bars ,particularly Coconut and Lemongrass, but been buying off Ebay

A wax melt isn't one standard thing neither are they an MLM product, your question is akin to are candles any good Grin.

Go to a shop, buy a pack and see if you like them, job done Smile

I buy soy wax melts from this shop. They're really lovely and don't have that pungently synthetic scent that you sometimes get.

I get the random mixed box from amazon. Summer scents or winter scents. My cupboard smells divine where I keep them.

I love my burner, I mainly buy wax melts from my SIL who makes them (not MLM) but occasionally buy them from Asda who have a nice selection.

evilharpy · 29/11/2021 12:48

I really don't like them, I find them annoying to have to clean up. Much prefer essential oils and a diffuser.

Classica · 29/11/2021 12:51

Top frugal tip for making your own wax melt is to pour boiling water into a used candle that still has wax remnants in the jar. After a while all the wax will pool on the surface on the water and form a disc which you can use in your melt burner.

(plus it makes it easier to recycle the glass jars if they're clean of all wax)

I’d definitely recommend that company on the basis of their lovely candles (I can’t bear synthetic scents so I’m a bit fussy about candles) so I should imagine their wax melts are just as good.

My friend makes them so I buy them from her. I didn't use them before she started making them but I love them now and have one melting every day.
