And how many hours/days do they do a week?

OP posts:
JumperandJacket · 22/11/2021 18:54

£14 an hour, 9 hours inc laundry.

Coffee4Queen · 22/11/2021 18:56

£15 ph, 2 hours once a week. Regular cleaning plus extra like emptying the dishwasher, changing the bed linen and a little bit ironing, about 3-5 work shirts. I only have a little flat which is why she has time for the extras.

SparrowNest · 22/11/2021 19:01

@muldersspeedos

Can I please ask what the cleaners do for that? I know some of you include ironing.
Kitchen and bathroom cleaning, sweeping and mopping hard floors, hoovering carpets, a bit of dusting. Maybe a small amount of tidying toys and putting away stuff from the draining rack if I’ve been overwhelmed that day.
DGFB · 22/11/2021 19:02

£13 an hour south east, includes beds

Greytminds · 22/11/2021 19:09

I pay £35 for our house to be cleaned as a flat rate (3 bed) but I’m about to change cleaner because I’m not really happy with only getting a superficial clean of an 1hr 15 max. The new cleaner is £16ph but apparently excellent. I’m expecting skirting boards, window sills and frames, cupboards to be wiped down and furniture to be pulled out to dust/vacuum on a rotating basis. No bed linen changed or laundry/ironing.

WhatWouldPennyDo · 22/11/2021 19:11

£18 ph, 4hrs weekly. Surrey. She is brilliant, I love her.

muldersspeedos · 22/11/2021 19:34

Blinkin' 'eck there's a lot of variation and some fantastic pay!
Thank you so much for answering my questions.

South london £13 per hour, she's brilliant and I paid her holiday, sickness and Covid pay,

I think she charges others more, but appreciates that I pay 52 weeks a year and don't skip payments whatever the circumstances.

badg3r · 22/11/2021 19:50

Ours cleans skirting boards, floors, lights, bathrooms, wipes down all cupboard doors and surfaces/tiles in the kitchen, the microwave and dishes, does the dusting, windowsills, radiators, glass, tidies up and basically leaves the whole place so clean i salivate 😂 £17.50 an hour, 8h a month (she comes once every two weeks).

FrazzledCareerWoman · 22/11/2021 20:13

Umm. £100 a week for 8 hours

PragmaticWench · 22/11/2021 20:16

£16 per hour. 1.5 hours a week

GivenchyDahhling · 22/11/2021 20:16

South East, £20 an hour, two hours a week. She does an amazing job and critically, is completely reliable every week. Went through three super flakes cleaners/companies before I found her so more than happy to pay what’s probably above average.

Sexnotgender · 22/11/2021 20:18

£37.50 for 3 hours once a week.

flashbac · 22/11/2021 20:22

Wow. People paying 2 to 5 grand a year. Are you all on the 'mumsnet 6 figures'?

JunoMcDuff · 22/11/2021 20:23

£10ph which is what he asks for. We pay for 3 hours per week, we pay £30 per week. He sometimes does less at the moment because of our living situation (having downstairs renovated so only half a house to do) but we still pay £30.

Once the renovation is done we're planning to increase to 4 hours and £12ph. We paid throughout lockdowns and when he or we have had to isolate.

No, it depends what your other outgoings are surely?
shiningstar2 · 22/11/2021 20:31

Never had a cleaner ...I wish 😁
Dm's cleaner £12.50 an hour for 2 hrs a fortnight

Friend's cleaner £15 an hour. for I hour a👏week. N.E England if that's relevant.

madisonbridges · 22/11/2021 20:34

£15ph. Two hours every other week. North west England.

spagbog5 · 22/11/2021 20:40

£100 for 5 hours cleaning and they are worth every penny!
The best cleaners we have ever had and our house glows after they have been.
Even the kids love it and notice when they've been.

weegiemum · 22/11/2021 20:43

We pay £50 a week.

They do lounge, hall, kitchen, downstairs loo, stairs, landing, our room, en suite, family bathroom, spare room if needed, (not teenagers rooms!!) plus an xtra eg fridge, windows, woodwork etc. There are 2 of them and they are here for about an hour and a half each Tuesday.

Lol It's the last expense I would cut if my circumstances changed The last! Even after haircuts etc
DGFB · 22/11/2021 22:20

Agree, my cleaner would be one of the last things to go. I’d rather have no TV subscriptions etc!

Justgorgeous · 22/11/2021 23:27

£25 an hour ? Ridiculous.

Courtier · 23/11/2021 12:57

£9 per hour plus £30 a month flat fee - London

Nope. Just prioritise my spending and would rather spend time with my children than clean my house.
