To say no to a third child due to climate change?

My DH wants another (3rd) baby. I think not, with climate change being one of my main reasons. I am already worried for our two DCs lives. Emotionally I could be persuaded but all the facts suggest its a bad idea.

I think if you really wanted three you'd probably feel differently, and this probably feels like the most 'appropriate' reason not to do it. But there's no bad reason not to have another child and it's entirely your choice.

I don't live in the UK but I am British and generally have shit TV on when I am at work as often on standby. I don't get this. Water bottles are criminal, having babies, frowned upon. Cars are analysed to the enth degree. Then on Lorraine every morning they have the fashion item which encourages people to buy pretty much single use outfits including plasticy bags and shoes and really nasty cheap clothes that can only be made in countries where there is no environmental capacity or ethical employment. I own about 5 pairs of shoes which are 2 to 10 years old and all handmade, mainly Gucci in Italy. If I am going to a party, I don't buy a load of shit which is most likely to be donated to a charity shop which knows nobody wants that shit and has to send to landfill. I know it's about money but you can buy a decent pair of Hobbs type shoes on ebay for the same amount. I don't get how the drama is all centred around some things and not others. I visited a factory in Bangladesh when I lived there and the amount of dye and bleach dumped into the river for one pair of UK jeans worth a tenner was hundreds of litres.

I suspect that what future there is for your children is one that every generation has asked at some point. If enough parents go along with this view then I guess eventually the human race would die out anyway.
At one point there was a very strong likelihood of a nuclear war. A lot of you on here may have been conceived during that time with your own parents wondering whether they were doing the right thing in bringing children into the world with an uncertain future.

@FurierTransform

Yea, o would say you are being unreasonable. That's a pretty hysterical desicion really.
In what way is being responsible about bringing children into the world "hysterical", @FurierTransform?

Do enlighten me with your wisdom.

@YouWouldNotBelieve

By having multiple children, you are taking away the chance for most women to feasibly have even one child and that is greedy and selfish.
Hi why is this.?? I'm genuinely interested in the reasoning behind this

Thanks
