Colin Pitchfork recalled to prison

Let’s remember he killed two children. Two young defenceless girls.
The country is a tiny bit safer now he is back behind bars.
And I get that he had many conditions attached to his license. But surely with all the costs and agencies involved in monitoring Pitchfork, it would have been easier to keep him safe and secure in prison?

Given how long he has served, and the nature of the original sentence it was always likely he would have achieved parole at some point. Thankfully decisive action has been taken and the system appears to have worked well.
