He’s from Essex, and I think you’re more likely to know him if you’re not from the UK, a lot of his work is capitalising on the “English gentleman” motor racing type in other countries, especially popular in East Asia (think Henry Talbot in Downton Abbey).

From interviews with Molly at the time, she said he did all the cooking, cleaning and roped her into his fitness routine - so sounds quite self-disciplined and strict.

He sounds nice enough.

He lives round the corner from me and I see him all the time. He's either walking his dog or at the park with his little girl and very pretty wife.. who's just had another baby. He seems like a hands on dad for sure. Other than that he's actually kind of average looking and I sound so mean, but he always looks like he needs a wash!

I once walked out of my house and he was at the end of the drive with a dog. The dog was struggling in the lead to run up our drive (could probably smell cats). He said sorry and walked on. I only realise who he was when I got in the car. Since then, I’ve seen him around several times, but you only realise it was him when you’ve walked past. He tends to wear a baseball cap out and about. He’s not as tall as he appears in photos. Also he’s paler. Last time I saw him, he was pushing a child on a trike down the Thames near Putney. He must have a child?

He is very obviously a good looking man but doesn't mean everyone's going to fancy him. I think men who are conventionally attractive can be a bit bland looking. I like something a bit different.

He's a very successful male model - extremely attractive, and he has a 'window' which he is making the most of. He is using what God gave him to his best advantage and he has dated some high profile celebs.

On a different note….

DH and I had a silly game of making up rhyming celebrity side hustles, like “Halle Berry’s Discount Tellies” or “Jan Leeming Cleaning”.

DH came up with “David Gandy’s Garlic Brandy” and it tickled him so much he says it any time David Gandy, or indeed brandy, is mentioned.

Quite sure he wouldn’t give a shiny shit what any of you think. And rightly so.

He's not hired for his personality or intelligence, his job is to stand in front of cameras with varying amounts of clothes on being really really ridiculously good looking, which in the opinion of his employers (and me FWIW) he carries out extremely well. It's a bit unreasonable to expect him to also be witty and disarming, and frankly if I were a man I'd consider it grossly unfair if he were.

I actually have met him briefly at a private view for some exhibition in London a few years ago and he was friendly, chatty and seemed very normal. His body shape is very extreme in person, very wedge shaped, but for everyone criticising who hasn’t met him, I thought he was completely fine. Not “wow” in charisma, but a perfectly nice man.

I agree. It’s like how Andy Murray got some stick for not being smiley and charming as well as being the best tennis player this country has produced.
