Furious with GP over baby vax cancellations

My youngest is 13 months. For four weeks now I've been trying to get her 12 month jabs done and the GP has cancelled the appt five times due to the nurse being ill.
She's going to nursery so out in the community and unprotected without her MMR etc. Nursery are asking why she's not up to date.
It's been rebooked again for the end of next week but I fear they will just cancel again.
I'm in London. Is there any kind of paediatric drop in service I can take her to to just get them done?
I don't want to pay ££££ to go privately but Im getting really frustrated.

Ds1 didn't get his 12 month jags until he was nearer 15 months. Are the nursery really chasing them up? Surely they know not all children get them on their 1st birthday?

I’m surprised the nursery have even noticed a short delay.

The cancellations aren’t ideal and hopefully next week can happen but sometimes the delay just isn’t avoidable.

The nursery have mentioned it but I think they're hot on it as it's a condition of entry as we live in borough with a higher than average measles rate and lower than average vax rate

I work in a GP surgery and occasionally we have to cancel appointments if a clinician is off but 5 times does seem excessive to cancel. Is there only one nurse?.
Whilst the MMR should be given between 12-15 months, I understand you wanting your baby to be protected asap.
Fingers crossed your appointment next week goes ahead.

I would be upset about this, too.
Go private if they cancel again if you can afford it, for your own peace of mind.
It’s utterly ridiculous if you would have to, though.

Sounds annoying OP, it does sound excessive.

I've used Fleet Street clinic to get the chickenpox vax for my DD and they great, fast and kind. They do the MMR if you wanted to go private.

Thanks everyone. I think if they try to cancel next Friday I'm going to insist they book out a GP's appointment to do it instead.

The irony is the doctor's surgery actually sent her a handwritten first birthday card reminding about the jabs so they clearly are trying to up the routine vax rate - and yet it's impossible to actually get them done!
