On google searches I can’t seem to find a decent book series for girls (while I appreciate that books can be read by anyone DD is a very girly girl and is not interested in the series’ we already have for DS). But we want to ensure it is stretching her vocabulary.

Someone also recommended to me, though we’ve not tried them yet:

Paiges & Co
Tuesdays Castle
Secret Explorers

Dd2 is yr2 just turned 7. In the past 18 months or so she has read endless rainbow fairy, secret mermaid, magic ballerina etc. All a bit samey not exactly stretching vocabulary but she loves them.

Before them she read daisy & the trouble with & the Sophie books.

More recently she has started on the treehouse books.

I would recommend Pamela Butchart. There are 2 series. One set slightly younger than the other.

At that age, my DD’s liked the Isadora Moon series. Short chapter books with lots of pictures about a child who is half-vampire, half-fairy,
