To hate people who buy things cheap, purely to sell them on for a massive profit.

I’m talking mainly toys, but there are people in all the realms who do it

I feel sorry for the parents who are so desperate to get that toy their child really wants, that they feel like they have to pay double or even triple the price because someone decided to buy 10 of them so they can sell them on.

I know no one has to buy them at that price but it isn’t fair really.

The ones I hate are people who vacuum up anything good they see on freecycle or freegle, and sell it on. I've almost stopped giving stuff away for free because of these people. If you charge a couple of quid, it puts a lot of them off.

I don't know why parents panic and pay the over inflated price, the sought after product always come back in stock

@Branleuse

isnt this the very basis of a capitalist society? The shops are doing the exact same thing in the first place
What the shops are doing also benefits the producers. Having the goods visible to customers, providing a place where the customer can go and buy them etc helps customers become aware of the goods. Prior to online shopping there weren't many businesses which could have sold a lot of products without shops.

I'm not against people taking advantage of discounts and flogging the stuff, but it isn't the same thing the shops do.

Thats capitalism/ market economics for you.

The one that really winds me up is all tickets for gigs etc being snapped up and then on resell sites for loads X face value.

Loads of artists hate that as well.
