What do you do if you're stick thin with a fat midriff?

I need help!
My body shape is really strange. I'm tall (5'10) and very thin... Except for my midriff! Don't go imagining someone who is quite slim with a soft tummy. I am literally skinny, with a midriff that is just awful Sad
My limbs, joints and general frame are extremely narrow with nothing extra on them. B cup, so I have some bust but nothing to write home about. I do have something of an arse which is nice. But it's like any fat i get, it goes directly to my stomach, with any extra on my bum.

Dressing for my shape is really easy because I look fine in clothes. Nobody would ever guess the state of my midriff. It's both "parts" of my middle, the section from under your bra strap, and then the tummy.

Does anybody else have this body shape? Is there any hope at all of improving it? When I lose weight it's a joke as what little fat there is elsewhere disappears but the fucking midriff is still there. How am I supposed to lose weight from my middle without first losing it on my boobs, face and hips, which I dont want?

Anyone who has this body shape please advise. All the women in my family have this issue so I'm wondering if it's a case of just having to live with it.

Running is good for targeting the mid-body area I find. Less wine though definitely and more veg and whole grains.

You look completely normal to me.

I have the B tummy too OP, although unfortunately mine is much worse than yours due to me weighing much more, 2 babies and up and down weight loss over the years. For me I doubt anything other than lipo and surgery would help me.

I have a relatively small waist in comparison to the rest of me, and disproportionately huge arms which mean that I never wear a sleeve shorter than elbow length.

My mum has the same shape as me so I'm sure it's genetics, although if I were a healthy weight I'm sure that'd help as well 😁

This was exactly my shape until.... I got lipo. Now I have a flat stomach Grin

Extreme though. Haha

I second weights and strength training. My body was the same as yours and now the stomach is flat and toned.
Years of being a cardio junkie at the gym didn’t get anywhere close to the changes that strength and conditioning have made.

How did you do @AdviceHunter? Did you see any changes with pilates and no alcohol?

I am your shape and I find that the only thing that works is keeping my body fat % under 24% plus extreme dieting - fasting/low carb and HIIT training, plus a Pilates Reformer. A mere whiff of a carb leads me straight back to guts-ville.

I have the skinny legs and am 5”8 tall - your post resonates with me. I have had 2 kids and now in my 50s am finding that weight so easily settles on my stomach like never before. I do weights (just 10 minutes worth) and that has given me a waist but am shocked at the changes that continue to be wrought by menopause
