Was it so weird that I never had a boyfriend as a teenager?

I was a very late bloomer, but I never started really worrying about it until my midtwenties. I'm turning 30 soon, and have finally met someone, but recently I can't stop thinking about my teenage years. I really don't understand why tbh.

I didn’t get a “proper” boyfriend, as in someone I introduced to my parents, until I was 27. Had plenty of flings and FWBs but nothing serious before that. But I had loads of friends and a great social life, so I don’t regret it one bit.

Not unusual, I didn’t. There was a boy I was very much in love with, but I was too shy to ever act on it.

I really wish I’d gone for it. Not because I think it would have worked out, but because I have never been in love so deeply since. I still think about him, 20 years later.
