I haven’t had a full day off in 3 weeks. Have had insomnia for the past 3 nights too and it’s a physical job, I barely have the strength to get out of bed.
It’s a person-facing role so they really need a staff member there in order to carry out the job but I just feel like death.
The last time I was off sick they told me I still had to come in as they were short-staffed. So I went in, but other employees have all been off of late.
They know I’ve worked 3 weeks straight and clearly aren’t bothered, I need to look after myself sometimes. Shall I phone in? I bet they’ll still tell me I have to come in. I’m not off sick very often

So you only get every other weekend off, and they even try to deny you that? Unless there is a massive drip feed (eg you’re an investment banker making £500k), I can’t understand why you would continue working there when there are so many available jobs now.

Ah, just saw your previous post. Stop posting here and hand in your notice right now would be my advice.

I thought you were getting Tuesdays off?

You've had a lot of good advice on your other threads about this. Your only choices are accept it or put your foot down and say no. I recommend the latter.

SuperDup3r · 07/11/2021 13:44

Is this you again?!!!

Ineedaduvetday · 07/11/2021 13:52

It is OK if people don't like you or are annoyed with you.

Sugarplumfairy65 · 07/11/2021 14:12

You've been advised by hundreds of people over the last few weeks what you should do but you've ignored all that advice. Just say NO!

SuperDup3r · 07/11/2021 14:18

Last few weeks? This poster has been going for months on end.

We surely can't have a sick note troll so I'll assume this is someone who can't decide anything from themselves and also someone who likes posting the same thing on MN

@Krisjongun1

They will have sick people working and don’t care as long as the work is covered, in previous jobs as I say, if I’ve called in sick on the odd occasion they’ve just told me to get better soon and take the day off.
Yep! Sounds like my last workplace! Someone had lost their parent, and took a week off I think, and was told they should have returned sooner. No value on life just money and working people in to the ground.
