Woo thread - but I have a poltergeist

Just had to walk into my local shop for ANOTHER bottle of wine because I bought one and it has vanished into thin air.

The guy was like wasn’t you here half an hour ago 😫 yes I was! Asked did I leave my wine I paid for here, nope..

Same thing happened a few weeks ago with some cigarettes and before that a large box of chocolate.

Deffo not DH, or DC he is 8 (and currently asleep) so deffo not smoking and drinking behind my back!

We deffo haven’t drunk it had a late dinner and was looking forward to opening, bought it and took it him, left it by the sink.

so unless I am going mental I must be haunted

No way would I venture down those steps..I've definitely watched too many horror films 😂 However, your poltergeist is definitely living my best life.. bottle of wine, packet of fags & a box of chocolates. I'd be happy with that. You are very welcoming hosts!

Could be a guardian angel ! Last weekend I was at a party and while I haven't smoked in 20 years I had a yen for a cigarette. No o e would give me one so I traipsed to the spar and bought a pack .
I smoked one on the way back .
Got back to party , cogs no where . I had no bag , only pockets . Found the lighter - cogs gone .
Clearly someone was giving me a kick up the arse !

Last year in lockdown me and my ex lived in my aunties quite old house whilst she lived in another part of the country for the year. She warned us she had a poltergeist she had affectionately nicknamed henry, she claims the first day she moved in there were no windows or doors open and the upstairs bathroom door kept slamming randomly and things moving and that she felt like someone was watching from the corner like an indistinguishable shadow. Whilst we lived there things were forever going missing it was driving me mad, the unplugged door bell kept going off at ridiculous and random times and it seeming like you could hear little footsteps downstairs on the wooden flooring but then no one would be there. She had a side passage which had stayed the same for years not redone by her and there was no lights or flooring just cold and going out there at night was very creepy.

I live in my loft - thankfully.

I really want to know where the sodding bottle of wine is though! And the pack of £12 fags 😡

I am looking I to the history of my house it was built in 1890s (it’s fascinating) perhaps I have stirred a few ghouls 🤣
