Police Letter

Not sure where to post this, but posting for traffic.
I have reported a series of harassment from my ex partner, these have been termed as "threats to kill" and have been treated with the highest regard, an investigation is currently underway, however I'm fairly sure it won't proceed further due to insufficient evidence.
However, I've just got off the phone to a police officer investigating, he said he's happy to ask his specialist domestic abuse team to provide me with a letter to support to extension of a non molestation order that's due to expire as well as a letter detailing whilst current investigations are underway then I should not be taking my daughter to contact with her father as he has been harassing me and has breached the NMO.
Will this be something the family courts will take seriously? The police genuinely believe I am at risk of significant harm.. I've had two officers come to my house this evening to do a welfare check after the local authority we used to live in informed them of a call they received from my ex demanding to know where his daughter lives (he doesn't know) I'm genuinely laying in my bed feeling terrified.

I'm so sorry this is happening to you - I'm glad the police are taking it seriously and supporting you, though. IME a letter to that effect from the police will be sufficient to support no contact considering the seriousness of the issue, and it'd be useful to have their details to provide for any follow-up too.

You keep posting this. Did you take your daughter to the new contact centre? The best thing you can do is push to get it back to court as quickly as possible and hopefully when they've looked at all the evidence and reports they will decide the appropriate level of contact( if any) going forward.

The children have a right to have a relationship with their father. The court won’t care about this unless he is at risk to them. The risk should be huge.

They can shout at kids, emotionally harm them and push them about. The courts do not care. Contact before welfare.

I think in this case the child had been abused by the father so the courts will be looking closely at the risk to the child.
