My wrist was mildly painful like an rsi type pain that goes away with rest. Two days ago I picked up son and it was a sudden sharp pain. Been painful since but was able to go about normal activities. Tonight so painful I have cried a little. Hand feels vaguely tingly and I feel like I'm going to be sick.

Is there any chance I have an actual injury. I can move my fingers albeit difficult. So assume not. Also given how to pain started must likely tendon. Definitely not a break.

Probably something like tendonitis. I am a wimp. Its so painful . Will be a wait of a week or more for GP. I'll just have to toughen up!

I’ve had carpal tunnel and use these. Next day delivery on Amazon Prime. shorturl.at/qyNX3

Or, any pharmacy will have wrist splints, and you could ask a pharmacist for advice whilst you are there.

I went to minor injuries for this recently. It was tendonitis. They were very kind and strapped it up for me. It eventually went xx

@gamerchick

OP has an acute injury, not a condition that requires constant pain management.
apples and oranges.
I have zebra friends, I wouldn't be able to advise them as I don't know what's best.
So to answer your question: nothing, it's not my place to get involved in a complex situation like yours.
I would've thought it was obvious I was referring to acute issues in general and OP's issue in particular.
Not sure why you felt the need to bring up an ongoing problem that has nothing to do with OP's situation. 🤷‍♀️
