Getting a Covid booster while TTC

I'm thankfully fully vaxxed but have an autoimmune disease which means I'm eligible for a Covid booster. I have a one year old and we're going to start trying for a baby next month and I noticed my period went a bit odd for two months after getting the vaccines. It could be a coincidence, especially after having a baby last year, but it did seem that the two after each vaccine, especially the 2nd one, were longer, heavier and more painful. It's making me want to wait until I'm pregnant to get the booster but that could take months. Any advice? Or anyone in the same situation? Should i just get the booster? I'm 41, so don't really have much time to waste.

Get it and crack on if you want to conceive. They don’t need to be mutually exclusive.

Get the jab and crack on.

I'd get it then TTC. Even if it messed your cycle up for a month after starting TTC it's not that long, covid is more risky in pregnancy and I'd prefer to get it before I got pregnant.

Agree- jab and crack on!

It depends on what sort of TTC you’re planning on doing? For me it just meant giving up contraception and continuing to DTD regularly as neither me nor my partner were keen on the idea of scheduling. I kept an eye on my cycles but more for general health so any delays wouldn’t have mattered.

If you want to go full-on tracking cervical mucus, temperature, ovulation tests etc then messing your cycles up is going to make this impossible for a while.

That's really reassuring, thank you @Newhorizon21!

Right, going to call the GP tomorrow due an appointment then. Thanks all!
