Just that really. What do you wear day to day?
After lockdown followed by pregnancy I don't know what happened to my wardrobe but all I seem to own after lockdown cull's are leggings and baggy t shirts!
What do you own and what do you wear for say..

A day at home?
The school run?
A day shopping?
Meeting friends for coffee?

Just wondering what people wear when as I seem to have forgot how to dress!! I spent about £1000 last month trying to update my wardrobe and have barely anything to show for it other than an empty bank account

Midi/Midaxi dresses. Mainly from Yours Clothing, soft lace up shoes, usually Primark, but I have a couple of pairs of white trainers too.

Occasionally grey jeans and a smock top, worn with grey boots.

I have a deep red suede biker style jacket for wearing with my dresses,

drpaddington · 03/11/2021 20:38

At the moment, mostly jeggings with a loose fit jumper or long sleeved top and cosy longline cardigan. I've got a couple of pinafore type dresses that I wear with a plain black long sleeved top underneath and either leggings and tights. Currently wearing my black canvas trainers with everything still as I haven't been able to buy boots yet.

I desperately need some new clothes, I realised yesterday that I was wearing a maternity jumper that I bought 13 years ago, and it has a hole in the sleeve. It needs to go in the bin but not until I can get a replacement!

Waxonwaxoff0 · 03/11/2021 20:39

Day at home - joggers and hoodies. Never jeans!

School run - work clothes as I go straight to work after.

Shopping/meeting friends - I have a slightly "alternative" style so probably not to everyone's taste but things like dungarees, baggy jeans, Doc Martens, pinafore dresses with patterned tights, chunky boots or brothel creepers.

TreaslakeandBack · 03/11/2021 20:40

Home PJs
Work scrubs
School run- jeans and trainers
Shopping as above if food, as below if a day out.
Meeting friends jeans, trainers and a nicer top!
I can scrub up a bit better if going out for a meal- dress or skirt and top.

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 03/11/2021 20:43

brothel creepers

What are these?!

BogRollBOGOF · 03/11/2021 20:47

Home/ school run
Harem pants (generally replaced leggings), jeans, dungarees, t-shirts, hoodies, active wear.

Work: I'd dust off my old dresses, black trousers and plain tops. I still have shirts but went off them over time.

I feel totally out of touch on going out. I hate the midi-frumpery in fashion (I'm too short and muscular to carry it off) and still wear clothes from about 15 years ago as I still like them, they fit and they don't look ridiculous.

SisterAgatha · 03/11/2021 20:48

A day at home?
Leggings, furry pj’s, T-shirt, hoodie

The school run?
Work clothes, I go straight from work. So usually quite short a line skirt, skinny rib, tights, DM’s. Or jumpsuit and court shoes, or dress and boots. Never trousers. Teddy jacket.

A day shopping?
Ripped jeans, tight tee, hoodie and leather jacket over the top

Meeting friends for coffee?
As above

gogohm · 03/11/2021 20:48

Dresses, leggings and knee high boots mostly in winter, jeans and jumper sometimes on weekends

shouldistop · 03/11/2021 20:50

I have a 5yo & 11mo.

Today I did school run, gym & baby class. In the morning I wore gym gear then I showered & changed into jeans & a long sleeved khaki T-shirt and new balance trainers.

Tomorrow I'll be doing the school run, toddler group then park & library after school.
I'm planning to wear tartan skinny trousers, a black slogan T-shirt, black cardigan & biker boots.

On Friday I'll be going to yoga at lunchtime so I'll probably just wear leggings and a T-shirt all day as I can't be bothered getting changed half way through the day.

In the summer I wore a lot of button up or wrap dresses with trainers or Birkenstock's.

I've got a few pinafore dresses i'll wear over long sleeved T-shirts with tights and boots throughout autumn and winter.

Cryalot2 · 03/11/2021 21:02

I have gone a bit more casual since covid .
But depending on season, autumn and winter above the knee skirt or dress in a fine wool (I have had most for years) with fine leggings or footless tights and boots and a nice top.
Summer : knee shorts with pretty top, maxi dress/skirt or a dress.
I always wear fitflops in some form, be it boots or trainers.I love the current look of dress /skirt with trainers.
I have too many clothes of a variety of sizes, but they all fit me at some stage. I also keep a small case of summer holiday clothes.

Topseyt · 03/11/2021 21:03

Jeans and t-shirts for everything here. Jumper or cardigan added in winter

In warm summer weather the jeans will be replaced with shorts.

A day at home - Nothing, a kimono or sweats
The school run - gymshark leggings and top
A day shopping - Jeans, Nike trainers and a band tee.
Meeting friends for coffee - biker boots, wrap dress, leather jacket.

CaptainThe95thRifles · 03/11/2021 21:35

Jeans and a hoodie or a woolly jumper for everything, although as I work with horses or from home in a non-contact role, I'm not really judged on my rustic sense of personal style much Grin

Footwear is entirely a practical decision - wellies, riding boots, trainers depending on context. Baseball cap if sunny or raining. It's probably not a look I'd recommend to the fashion conscious though!

lljkk · 03/11/2021 22:01

A day at home? PJs.

The school run?, A day shopping?, Meeting friends for coffee? Whatever I have been wearing for previous few days that isn't too dirty to wear again, and suits the weather. Not PJs, tbf.

stealingbeauty · 03/11/2021 22:09

If I’m at home and definitely not going to go out I’ll wear leggings and jumper or loungewear.

For day to day, including meeting friends, I wear wide leg jeans, flat chunky/biker boots, wool or cashmere jumper and a wool coat.

FindingMeno · 03/11/2021 22:14

I'm a fan of plain midi dresses.
You can do so much to change the look for different situations.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 03/11/2021 22:18

pyjamas
pyjamas
whatever is clean
pyjamas - I don't go anywhere, they come here

whatisthisinhere · 03/11/2021 22:19

At home, I usually wear leggings, either sweaty Betty if I'm working out, or Hush for just sitting around, I'll sometimes wear Sweaty Betty leggings for out an about with either a hoody, or slouchy sweater, or a long T-shirt. In fact I often wear them for shopping or meeting friends. I'll wear trainers or hiking boots.
If I need to be a bit smarter I'll go for a midi dress/short skirt with tights and boots. I very rarely wear jeans.

Looubylou · 03/11/2021 22:22

Jeans apart from work - which recently changed to compulsory uniform - including wfh video meetings.

whatisthisinhere · 03/11/2021 22:24

If I'm working from home, I'll try to look a bit smarter, so it on makeup and do my hair. Tomorrow I have zoom meetings, not all work related, but they sandwich a work related meeting, so I'll probably wear makeup, try to do my hair, wear a smartish top, and leggings.
Smartish might turn out to be a clean plain top tbf
though

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 03/11/2021 22:25

I wfh and switch out between my jeans and my PJ bottoms depending on working or school run. Comfy long sleeved top and a long woolen cardigan.

I dont go out socialising much (though actually have a run of nights out booked in this month) so dressing "up" isnt something I really do very well. Skinny jeans and nice top / oversized white shirt with jewellry / a dress at an absolute push. I must sort something for my nights out.

I hate buying clothes. I hate shopping. I don't meet people for coffee.

So wardrobe reflects that, mainly.

CreamFirstThenJamOnTop · 03/11/2021 22:31

Jeans and tshirt almost all the time, all situations and all year round.

Footwear varies between flip flops, converse and some chunky brown leather & suede boots.

Will add a cardi if cold.

I’m very set in my ways! 🤣

(Mid 40s mum of 2 young kids and work p/t)

EvenLess07 · 03/11/2021 22:36

Lounging around at home/park/nursery days- hoodie, leggings, Vans. All items looking a bit scruffy and need replacing!

Since having a baby I cannot for the life of me find jeans I like and have always been happier in dresses anyway. So usually if I'm going anywhere it's a variation on the theme of jersey/shirt dress, black tights, boots, cardigan or leather jacket. I worry I'm a bit frumpy looking- short and size 16-18. Definitely the look I'm most comfortable with though.
