…. to be freaked out by Christmas Nutcrackers?

These horrible things give me the creeps. I don’t mean actual implements to crack nuts, I mean the soldiers that are everywhere nowadays.

wonder why they seem to be making such a big part of Christmas? i mean I think they were traditional but not so much as they are now. odd things seem to be making themselves part of Christmas these days

Surprised Russell Davies didn’t write a Christmas Dr. Who where they came to life and murdered everyone.

Not keen really. The more I look at them the less I like them

I’ve always hated them. My mum loves them but all I can see is them leering at me from the mantelpiece and the creepy mouths

I thought it was just me! Creepy things. Also don't like the gnome things that are everywhere.

I quite like them, brings back fond memories of listening to the nutcracker story on my Christmas storyteller cassette tape. I always wanted one that actually works as a nutcracker.

I like creepy and weird - our house is full of odd downright weird stuff.

Saw some of these Nutcracker things the other day - maybe 3ft tall.

You need to get to Kathe Wohlfahrt's shops in Germany, some are enormous, I love them and also the smoking men, I spend ages over Christmas keeping them going!

I've come round to them. Hate the glittery ones though, I like the traditional ones.

Love them. I buy a new one every year to add to my collection - some of them are cheap and nasty but if you buy from a decent retailer they don’t have the scary teeth. I’d love two big ones for my front door.

Olive and sage , half price nutcrackers, metal ones too . I ordered them August time . They arrived last week , they are brilliant! .I've never had nutcrackers. I've seen them , thought them odd but not creepy , a fascinating, traditional odd

I absolutely hate them. We have one Nutcracker Christmas decoration and I insist on it being hung on the back of the tree where I can't see it.

I feel for some reason that I should like them because I like The Nutcracker ballet but I just can't - they're too creepy!

I love everything Christmassy, from restrained and classical to cheap and cheerful, everything that is apart from Nutcrackers. They are so creepy looking if I took one home I would have nightmares where they came to life and murdered us in our beds, especially the big ones. Aargh!

The massive one is gross but I'd be willing to put up with one or two for a house like the one in the photos!
