The Handmaids Tale for a second time I can't get enough

LittleDandelionClock · 02/11/2021 14:07

@tillytoodles1

Rewatching Benidorm. I know it's silly and childish, but the first few series really make me laugh. It went off the boil when the Garvey's left and the hotel got a new manager though.
I LOVE Benidorm. Grin Never watched it originally, but watched it all during the summer. Agree that when the Garveys left, it went a bit downhill... The new family they brought in to replace them, (Season 6 or 7 was it?) were a bit shit. They tried to make them the same as the Garveys but it just didn't work.

Ozark. it's great and a Korean drama called Descendants of the Sun which is good too

0blio · 02/11/2021 14:09

I'm on You season 2, it's strange and compelling.

Just finished Sons of Anarchy (not great, but for some reason we ploughed on till the end)

Noooo! Sons was brilliant

XelaM · 02/11/2021 14:11

Currently watching "Maid", but love "You" (especially first and third season, second was a letdown) and also "Dirty John" (it's crime drama but based on very famous murder cases)

XelaM · 02/11/2021 14:12

Squid Games is amazing if you haven't yet seen it

AliasGrape · 02/11/2021 14:13

We are finally getting round to finishing the last series of Homeland. I’m not sure I’ve enjoyed it since about 4 or 5 seasons ago but I’m a bit of a completionist once I start something and DH is the same so we keep talking about all the things we want to watch ‘but we’ve got to finish Homeland first’.

Not that it’s not good - I just need something a bit lighter and more escapist I think.

Watched that twice now. It's brilliant. Not for anyone under 16 though. VERY bloodthirsty/
Popsiclestry · 02/11/2021 14:21

'You' is bloody brilliant. I've ploughed my way through all 3 series pretty quickly.

Ticksallboxes · 02/11/2021 14:29

I can't wait for this - starting on 12th November on AppleTV! It stars Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd and is based on an incredible true story.

@BobbinThreadbare123

Outlander. Ridiculous escapism with eye candy in kilts Grin
Aye lassie, aye, ye ken Grin

The accents are atrocious which makes it quite funny at times - even from Scottish actors who have obviously been told to 'speak how you imagine an 18th century Highlander would speak' and they've all gone 'errrrr....' and come up with something Dick Van Dyke would be ashamed of Grin

Lipsandlashes · 02/11/2021 15:02

@Ughmaybenot

Right now, Friday Night Lights. Old but gold. Also Brooklyn 99 for what must be the 100th time and You.
What platform are you watching Friday Night Lights on please? I’d love to watch it but can’t find it on anything.
TheRealMrsMorningstar · 02/11/2021 15:07

I've just started watching "You" on netflix and S.W.A.T. both are really good.

Ughmaybenot · 02/11/2021 17:28

Bump on iplayer & the chestnut man on netflix

JuneOsborne · 02/11/2021 18:40

The Americans, Good Girls, sex education and ice road rescue: don't judge till you've watched. I find Thord weirdly sexy.....

Janaih · 02/11/2021 18:43

Just finished Alice in borderlands which is very similar to squid game but not quite as good.

May watch the 3rd season of into the night next, a Belgian dystopian thriller drama type thing with shortish episodes.

LeggyLinda · 02/11/2021 18:54

The new squid game - mainly just for the hype.
Interesting. And I’d recommend an episode or two to get a feel for it. But a bit meh considering I was expecting more.

LittleMG · 02/11/2021 19:01

Shadow and bone on Netflix
