Thanks. The whole rest of my house is white, as it happens. But i felt the dining room needed pattern, it's a victorian house with lots of wood panelling, high ceilings, ornate coving and ceiling roses, etc... I originally wanted a William Morris design or similar, but all so pricey. I went for that because it was a modern take on the ornate exotic flowers and birds common in art nouveau design. It works for me. I also got a big chandelier with mermaids on it. Things I'd probably hate in any other place, but they seem at home here.
