Next door always arguing and kids crying!

She always seems to be throwing her OH out she packed his bags last week and he banged the door until she finally let him back in! When the door opens all you can hear is screams from
The kids.

We've just got back from a Halloween night and they are arguing again kids screaming all
out the front. Even when they are arguing at gone midnight you can still hear the kids crying.

Not really an AIBU but I feel sorry for the kids. Do I just keep my nose out of it? Or should I report it? I don't know.

How old are the kids? Heartbreaking :(

DaphneDeloresMoorhead · 30/10/2021 21:51

999 every time it happens.

user1473878824 · 30/10/2021 21:51

999 every time a couple shouts at each other? Come on. I feel so sorry for those children but that’s a stupid suggestion.

Cakeonthefloor · 30/10/2021 21:51

Report it.

Amdone123 · 30/10/2021 21:53

I would report it. Poor kids. Even if nothing comes of it once investigated, it all goes to building an overall picture, should it be needed in the future.

OverByYer · 30/10/2021 21:53

999, that’s child abuse

I'm a dispatcher for the police. And a 999 calltaker

I think I can judge what's a police matter.

Tilly18101 · 30/10/2021 21:54

If you’re really concerned the only way to intervene without being involved is sadly to call the police. Especially if you are concerned about the children, they will follow up with relevant points of contact.

ShockShield · 30/10/2021 21:55

Our neighbours were similar. Other people reported to the police. I recorded the screaming and reported to social services. The kids are now safe

jgjgjgjgjg · 30/10/2021 21:55

Report. Sounds like they need some support with parenting at the very least.

mymysmama · 30/10/2021 21:55

Oh god I couldn't say I would guess the oldest is about 2 & the youngest maybe 6 month. The screams are horrifying though breaks my heart.

Op, I can assure you if you call the police saying "my neighbours are having a screaming argument outside and the children are crying and distressed" there will be a unit making on blue lights before the call is ended.

mymysmama · 30/10/2021 22:02

Ok thank you. OH is always telling me not too as it's none of our business but can't bare the thought of anything happening and me not doing anything about it.

Op have you seen the current threads on baby star and Arthur?
Please please report it!

What Daphne says. And police will refer to social services as well
Pumpkinsondisplay · 30/10/2021 22:04

I have reported my ndn 3 times... Once for dragging the adult dc down stairs by their hair...
They are child care providers..
SS showed up and the dc lied for them.
Very sad..

Daughterpanic · 30/10/2021 22:04

Distressed children are all our business.

Exactly my first thought.

Everyone's responsibility to to the vulnerable children around us.

Sometimes if you don't help them - no one does.

Dcrolo12345 · 30/10/2021 22:26

I’d call 999 too , those poor babies.

Bloomsburyreader · 30/10/2021 22:44

Defo contact police or social services about this family. If only Arthur's neighbours had done so
