To think clothes shops should print the price much bigger on their labels

Went clothes shopping today for the first time in ages, and I noticed particularly in the shops which tend to have stuff say 30/35 and older would buy, that in most shops there is no chance of reading the price which is tiny on the label, without keep having to put reading glasses on and off and then I just give up on that shop. Wondered why don't they just print it bigger like say H &M do, so that most people can read the price.

It's really annoying. I find the same with supermarket items when I want to find out how many calories they have! Also in restaurants with low light.
Colour of print and background colour makes a difference too.

They might sell more of many things if the prices were larger.

I find this a problem too
Shops used to have coloured labels and " cubes" on the hangers for sizes and price was obvious on the tag.
The lighting often doesn't help
My sons used to like Hollister clothing and I seriously considered wearing my head torch!

@Mosaic123 unlike places like Wetherspoons that will merrily inform you in super-print about the 14345 calories in the ‘gourmet’ burger and chips 😂

😲

I wear varifocals with a clear upper bit because I only need them for reading but have to take reading glasses on and off constantly.
But I suspect it's because they don't want to put people off with a high price before they've fallen in love with the item.

I suggest that if you can't see the labels you need glasses

Good job she has some then.

I agree OP. And don't get me started about ingredients on packs in the supermarket!

I feel your pain!!!! I said exactly this a couple of weeks ago when I had trouble reading the size of garments on the peg in H&M. And it was beige toned number on a white background, the bastards! I can see fine without glasses as all I have is the typical problem that comes with age (47) but it is a pain in the butt having to fish out my glasses every two minutes to read a damned size label they could print bigger. So I do not know what those with real problems do what with the dim lighting and non contrasting colours chosen.

Very sympathetic response, at the age of 62!! Seriously..

I actually thought you meant clothes shops should increase the price of their clothes to cover what they lost in lockdown.
Good idea but I would just buy second hand.
