Trick-or-treating, will it be all weekend?

When are you doing it? I was having a conversation about it with a colleague who reckons people will be out and about on Saturday as well as Sunday. That means two nights of closed curtains and avoiding the door🙈 Yes, I'm a grinch. No, I won't be defending my choice to not open my door to people.

Also, please remember there's plenty of people, especially elderly, still worried about covid. The last thing they need is to have "trick or treat" screamed at them by 7 children when they open the door. If there isn't a pumpkin or front porch light lit, do not knock.

@Sparklingbrook

I saw on a local FB page someone asking if people would do it on Saturday as Sunday is a school night. Confused Halloween often falls on a school night, but it'll be darker earlier on Sunday anyway.
That was my colleagues thinking. I said it doesn't happen that way when it's in the middle of the week but he said people will think of it differently when it's only a day off Saturday and I fear he may be right. I really hope not though.

LO is gone Friday morning to Monday evening for the first time ever and I do not want to see a single little person for that entire time 😂

@Polmuggle

Do you normally sit of an evening by the door with all the curtains open? Grin
I do keep the curtains open most nights. Little cul-de-sac with a 92 year old across the road. I could walk around naked and he would be none the wiser. Also, frontdoor right next to lounge window.

My plan for the weekend is curtains closed in lounge and dining room, curtains can remain open in the kitchen. I will lock the gates and also block them with heavy bins. I will take no chances 😂
