Hi I just wondered if anyone had travelled to Ireland recently. I'm a natural born worrier and I'm worried about filling in the PLF for travel to Ireland. I just wish I could do it well in advance to stop me worrying, but it's got to be within 72 hours. Is it straightforward, is there anything thats hard to answer? Confused Thanks in advance. Smile

Passenger Locator Form before arriving in Ireland
Mobile phone number that you will use when in Ireland
Email address
Place of residence when residing in Ireland
How you arrived in Ireland
Passport details of passengers aged 18 and over, and unaccompanied minors aged 12 and over
You are asked to declare:
If you have valid proof of vaccination
If you have evidence of a pre-departure RT-PCR Covid test taken no more than 72 hrs prior to arrival, OR positive RT-PCR Covid test result at least 11 days prior to arrival (and no more than 180 days)

And if you bollocks it up you can just do another one Blush

CourgetteSeason · 27/10/2021 21:15

It's super easy and no one even asked to see it. Or our covid passport thing. Rigorous processes Hmm

That's a relief. Grin

How you arrived in Ireland

That's the kind of question that bothers me. I won't have arrived in Ireland when I do the form. Confused

How you will be arriving in Ireland then. Without being smart, is that a tricky question?

DramaAlpaca · 27/10/2021 21:33

How you arrived in Ireland just means on a flight or on a ferry. You'll know that in advance.

AmyDeirdre · 27/10/2021 21:35

I.e. Name of airline or ferry, flight/ferry number

Ciaram55 · 27/10/2021 21:44

Oh ok, I just say on the form by plane, and presumably flight number.

OP click on the link above and you can access the form and have a practice run, just don't submit it at the end.
Unless you're arriving by broomstick on the 31st I'm sure you'll find a category for your arrival!Grin

AnnieJ1985 · 27/10/2021 21:53

It is very straightforward, but if you forget to do it they have an announcement playing on a loop in arrivals to remind you, you still have time to do it then. We flew home to Dublin last week, nobody asked to see it

Ciaram55 · 27/10/2021 22:02

Ok thanks saleorbuoy, I'll try that.

Honestly, it’s really straightforward. I filled it in on the plane just after we landed in Ireland, took 2 minutes. And no one actually looked at it once or asked for proof of vaccination, my passport was all that was checked.

Basicbitch40 · 27/10/2021 22:27

Just remember that once in Ireland you need to show proof of vaccination to go anywhere e.g. eat in restaurants. I assume you'll obviously have a cert that shows that like everyone with two jabs in Ireland has.

Really N4ish? I didn't know you could do it then. Thought it had to be done before setting off.

Yes I've got the cert

Flown twice between Ireland and the uk since august and was only asked for Covid injection proof when checking in in the uk. It was a total doddle.
