To ask you which stove top burner you favour?

Which one do you favour? - having this debate this my sister so just for fun.. and to see who’s right😂

Front right is for the kettle. I choose front left for most cooking.

Middle!

Front right most of the time.

I wonder if, as well as burner size, the choice also depends on which burner is closest to the food prep area?

Depends what I'm cooking as we've only got three - one big, one medium and one small. The hob is induction so it's better to match the pan to the hob.

Front right most of the time , back right for kettle and small pans .
My worktop is on the right so it makes more sense to use them .

Rear left.

We bought ours as we were spending so much on our electric one, it just made sense to have a gas stove top one. I love it but it does drive me mad when people (dh) put it on and then go to the loo or something, and aren't around to switch it off and it screams it's little whistle off. More than makes up for when the whistle hasn't been put on tight enough and it pops off It makes us all laugh for some reason.

This had shocked up both, she is front right and I always use the rear left for the ‘main pan’ so their big frying pan or the steamer, then rear right, then front left for the little pan usually for sauces! front right barely gets touched here!

Front left. It's a larger ring and heats up very quickly.

Front left to start, then move to rear left it it needs longer cooking.

Front left and it’s not my biggest burner. I rarely use the two on the right

Rear left. It's a gas hob and it's one of the middle sized ones.

I'm shocked too! I thought this would be mostly "front right" (the obvious correct choice).

We have 6 burners. I like the medium one in the middle at the front. Of the two wok burners I only ever use the front right hand side.

The small burner on the back left hand side only ever gets used for keeping gravy warm.

Front left is my smallest hob. Front right is my biggest.

Do I have a weird cooker?

Front right, for heating up beans, peas and scrambled egg

Rear right for white/cheese sauce and the steamer pan

Middle for stir fry, sausages & bacon

Rear left for pasta

Front left, rarely used, no idea why

I am now wondering why I never use the front left, maybe that pondering will help me sleep tonight - interesting thread OP

Back left, it's a corker

I must be a weirdo because I use the front two burners. Depending if I'm frying something, then I use the bigger burner, or if I'm just heating beans/spaggetti I use the smaller one. 🤷🏼‍♀️
