To ask the GP to delay my period?

I have a spa weekend coming up. It's been moved several times due to covid and I can't change the date again. My period is due and mine are heavy, due to a prolapse I can't use tampons or cups, so it will ruin the weekend - I would normally spend most of my time in the pool etc. I've read on here before about people asking their GP for some sort of drug that delays their period - has anyone successfully been prescribed this in the last couple of years? I don't want to take up NHS time with something like this, but I have private healthcare through work which I think includes GP appointments, so I wonder if I could use that. So, WIBU to ask a GP for a prescription or am I being ridiculous to even consider it?

It was awful, but they're so irregular. I thought it would be ok, but then , hello! Nope. The construction I had on me was quite something. And I was terrified. Yep, had to leave frequently. New DH was employed to hold up skirts etc. showed his devotion anyway!

I took Northisterone to make sure that my A-levels weren't buggered up by period pain, and continued a week longer for a holiday.

Taking it was fine but I wasn't prone to PMS.
A month or so later when my period did deign to turn up (they were very erratic until I'd had babies) it was a particularly painful one which resulted on collapsing on the grotty stockroom floor at work, but it was preferable to ruining my exams or holiday.

I got a prescription for a romantic holiday in the tropics. I puffed up like a beachball with fluid and ended up looking 5 months pregnant. Any fluids I drank seemed to puff up the fluid. I stopped it and the fluid went in a few days.
