Woke up this morning with abdominal pain. Initially I thought I had an upset stomach as every few months I get a bit of a flare up. But after a trip to the loo nothing changed.
It got much worse an hour in, pain just barely under my rib on the left side and also similar on the right but not as bad and pain radiating across my abdomen between these two points. Also some milder abdominal pain lower down but it was background noise compared to the pain closer to my ribs. Never had this type of pain before. I couldn't get dressed, was in tears.
I've given birth twice with no pain relief whatsoever and I found labor hurt less than whatever this was.
By the time I got to A&E it subsided within 15 minutes or so after being intense for 2 and a bit hours. But the areas where the pain was feel kind of sore.
White blood cell count raised. Everything else normal. No UTI or anything of that sort.
Drs seemed to focus on my appendix but there isn't really any significant pain other than some soreness when pressed. I now have a mild ache around my lower abdomen and lower back on the right but nothing debilitating.
Will be having an x-ray tomorrow to see what it could be.
Has anyone ever had anything similar?
