12 month sleep regression - to ask what I've forgotten?

My 12 month old was until a couple of weeks ago sleeping 7pm-4am without waking, then feeding and then going back down til 6..30 or 7.

Halcyon days! Things have deteriorated to the point that we're now on 30 min - 1 hour wake ups, all requiring some kind of intervention to resettle.

I've tried feeding more food, less food, longer feed at bedtime, dropping to one nap a day, trying two longer naps a day, Calpol in case of teething, massage for wind. She's not unwell, she doesn't have any signs of a uti (she had one of theee in the past) and is happy in the day and can nap for a full two hours.

What have I forgotten? What else can I rule out? Can a developmental regression only be this severe?

She has allergies but they're diagnosed and the foods eliminated. She's under a dietician and nothing in her diet has recently changed.

I'm flummoxed and knackered!!!

If its a regression then changing those things won't make a difference, you just have to ride it out. Sometimes trying to solve the problem just adds to the stress. How long has it been going or for?

It's a phase and will pass. Sounds like you've ruled everything else out so drop standards elsewhere to give you the energy to ride it out! Flowers

We have had this recently. Have you gone back to work? I think ours was related to starting in childcare and separation anxiety.

We ended up gently sleep training, because we couldn’t be doing jobs and up all night forever. Good luck!
