Just that really, both ds and I have this rotten head cold going round. I'm a cleaner in other people's homes. I am fit to work but do not like taking my germs into someone else's house. My head feels lousy but the rest of me is fine.

I hate taking time off and so far this week all clients have asked me to continue.

Would you go to work, are people still going into offices etc with this, or am I stupid for even asking.

Back from cleaning first house, glad it's done. Second house have informed me they are all sick so I don't have to worry about that one.

Couple of points, I'm exempt from wearing a mask due to a condition in my face. I wear one briefly in a shop, but never at work. A cold for me is sneezing maybe 20 times an hour, they usually floor me and can take up to six weeks to recover from. So for those saying it's mild, just because it's mild for you doesn't mean it's mild for everyone.

Op I was going on you saying you were "fit to work". To me that means it's a mild illness in terms of how poorly you are feeling. Either you are fit to work or are not.

Am a teacher, and I’ve been off for three days now with that horrible cough/cold/all over body aches and exhaustion thing that’s been going around.

PCR was negative, as are all my LFTs (we’ve been advised to test daily in my school at present).

I’ll be going back in tomorrow, as I appear to be over the worst of it, and, honestly, it will just be easier than trying to set ANOTHER day of cover work for my classes.
