Hi

What is Farnham like?

I'm aware that there are parts of it with a rich, demographic, but I have my concerns about it not being diverse, and possible racism...

I'll be relocating for work.

@Lightswitch123

Exactly. Full of middle class people who think they're "lefty types" but who are actually very well off, don't practice what they peach and wouldn't appreciate the nuances of how an experience may differ for a black person. We are well off mixed race family and we didn't stay long, although as PP have mentioned we never saw any overt racist incidents.
Yeah, I hear you on that...

It’s not diverse but that will work in your favour. I’d have thought most resentment /issues come from populations that have large notable pockets of whatever ethnicity or ethnicities.
A couple of families in a town or village just fit in like other new people
I’d admit it gets somewhat confusing when people ask where you are from and you say Suffolk when they wanted to hear Goa or wherever. You get that everywhere though.

I grew up there and visit regularly. Never known it to be racist. There's also a huge art college which makes it more diverse and it's near aldershot which has a huge Asian community (mainly Nepalese).

Hello, I put an offer in, but wasn't successful as they chose someone else...

Will continue to look, thanks for your comments
