If you have half siblings do you ever speak to their Mum or Dad?

If you have older half siblings, do you ever speak to or come in to contact with their Mum or Dad who would be your parents ex often? Is it awkward or completely cool and fine.

My sons have younger half siblings as their father remarried some years ago. I never call them half anything; I refer to them as their siblings and I make a fuss over them when I see them. I’m not sure what they think of me, they are very young. Hopefully we will all of something of a relationship when they are older, otherwise it seems quite a fractured family in the future.

My younger siblings only ever spoke to my dad when there was a family get-together and they happened to be there at the same time. It's been like that since they split.

I'm the older half sister with 2 sets of half siblings - although I'm a lot older than my brothers/sisters, they are similar ages to eachother and I've taken them for days out together and they've visited each others houses. When my Mum had my youngest sister, me and the other 2 all stayed at my Dad's for a few days despite them not being related to him or my siblings from him and my Stepmum and it was completely fine (my Dad and Stepmum offered)

I don't - she died years ago. I do vaguely remember going to visit when you get though with my parents. All very amicable which was nice. I suppose it's possible that if she was alive id have a relationship with her. Depends entirely on the dynamic. Everyone's will be different. Not weird if you get on but many people won't know or have any reason to be in contact
