Get a plumber in or buy a new washer?

Yesterday the water pipe behind the washing machine started leaking.

We replaced the leaking pipe but the washing machine is still tripping the electrics and there seems to still be water coming from underneath the washer itself.

Either water has got inside and royally fucked the motherboard etc, or it needs a good while to dry out.

Is it worth paying for someone to come round and have a look?

Wait a week and see?

Or need a new washer?

Highly unlikely that a leak in the machine would be internal, more likely water got into the socket (if it's behind the machine). Could take a day or 2 for a socket to dry out (though IF you know exactly what you are doing it's pretty easy to dry a socket out in minutes).

Pull the WM out and watch the back of the water hose, though it's only a hand tight connection they can leak if it's not quite right, those hoses are pretty sturdy so it's unlikely you've damaged the hose pushing the machine back but not impossible.
You don't need a plumber

To test the socket theory plug the machine in elsewhere using extension cable if necessary

How old is your machine ?
Might be better to get a new one with the guarantee.

The power supply to the socket is live all the time, the supply to the machine will be live whenever the switch is turned on at the socket, so if the socket is damp it will depend where it got affected.
Not a bad idea to try plugging in elsewhere, but if the circuit breaker only trips after the machine's been going a while, that suggests the machine is at fault.
It's not common but not unknown in my experience (30+ years of washing machines!!!) to have an internal leak - we just replaced out dishwasher after it sprang an internal leak.
