Such a silly situation but please help me on this! My boyfriend doesn't see the point in putting the kettle down on the base of the kettle when he's finished with it and I need to see how many other people do this😂

When making a cuppa or using the kettle for whatever you use it for, once you're completely finished with it do you put the kettle back down on the base of the kettle or do you just leave it on the kitchen side?

Whenever we make a bottle for our DD or finish making a cuppa, my boyfriend really struggles with remembering to put the kettle down on the base. He doesn't do it intentionally but I find it so funny and ridiculous at the same time.
You're putting the kettle on the side so why not just put it on the base where it actually goes??

Surely other people don't do this?Grin

Shock he’s a monster!

How irritating! What's wrong with him?!

coodawoodashooda · 16/10/2021 17:41

My xh used to do shit like that. It's the way he's arguing that is the biggest red flag.

@lockdownalli 😂😂if only I could

@OldTinHat I honestly might try that😂 maybe he'll learn his lesson then! (I know he won't but won't hurt to try)

@Ledition I really wish I had an answer to that as I often think the same thing daily. Such a bizzare thing to constantly do as well

For those raising the safety points thank you. I never looked at it from a safety viewpoint but definitely would have pushed the bases back once the babies started moving around

It's a good habit to get into now, keeping the kettle on its base at the back of the worksurface with no trailing cord.
Your baby won't be long until he/she's toddling and able to reach a kettle left on the worksurface.

Shameless bump as I'd love to hear more people's thoughts on this😂
