I am miserable and have felt like my life is over. I have a feeling of constant background dizziness, like off balance. Like a fuzzy sort of feeling. I have slight pain around my temples and pressure that is also in my nose and I feel as though my nose is going to burst ! And my nose keeps popping too it's so weird. When I turn around too fast I can get the off balance feeling. And I can't focus my eyes properly anymore feel like I'm looking through broken glass. I'm a mum and can't function, I've felt so low and my anxiety is so bad. I've seen my gp who has no clue what it is but said my ears are fine and both clear. Has anyone else had this or know possibly what this maybe it's been a month of this now! Thankyou xx Daffodil

I get this every month before my period (peri menopausal) I use Pirinase nasal spray and Sudafed blue tablets. It’s mostly gone within 2 days. Maybe ask a pharmacist for advice but obviously go back to your GP if it continues.

OP I would push for the ENT referral and go back to the GP. There a number of things that cause those symptoms but it sounds particularly like Menieres. It's caused by crystals that get lodged in your inner ear which makes you feel off balance, dizzy and sick, causes tinnitus and also something called Nystagmus which is where your eyes flicker when you are trying to focus.

Have a look at vestibular recovery exercises in the meantime.

Sounds like it could be more than one condition. Have you not been to the doctor? You could have a vertigo inner ear related condition - BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo). See more on Groups on facebook.

Wow Blushthanks so much for the help and replies ! My nose keeps clicking too which is weird but the off balance sinus & head pressure is the worst. I was off work but had to go back and I work with screens it's so hard!
I'm hoping I can get a private app with ENT soon as much as I can't afford it I'm getting no where. My gp thought is was labrynthitis or Ménière's but I have no hearing loss. I'm not taking meds for dizziness as I've heard they are not good long term. My dizziness wasn't so bad as it was 3 weeks ago but just the foggy background off balance is killing me.
I was trying beconase for about a week with no relief is Sudafed any different? I had an opticians appointment and they said my eyes are fine Sad

I agree with those saying go to an optician if your GP has fobbed you off.
Mine correctly identified I had an auto immune condition after many many months of GPs shrugging helplessly

KeyboardWorriers · 16/10/2021 09:10

ah sorry cross post! Private ENT sounds sensible

maddy68 · 16/10/2021 09:18

Sinus , labrythitis, , migraine.

Either way you need to get it checked out.

ChorizoJacketPotato · 16/10/2021 09:18

Sinus. I had this acutely for 6 weeks. Needed steroid spray.

ChorizoJacketPotato · 16/10/2021 09:19

Steroid spray takes longer than that. I was prescribed avamys. Your GP is letting you down massively here.

Skysblue · 16/10/2021 09:29

Your GP needs to refer you a specialist for investigation. He can’t just shrug this off!!

The NHS is broken at the moment though, if you have the money try to see someone privately.
