To book lots of holidays for 2022

I have a few things booked already for next year. My intention is to have a set budget and then book as many holidays/ breaks as time and money will allow.I Intend to go away every 4-6 weeks. and vary my holiday type, destination and form of transport-, for example I'm flying with dh to Rhodes for a week next june, taking the Eurostar to Bruges or Lille, (haven't decided which yet.) With a friend for her birthday early next year.I

I'm also doing three nights in Edinburgh in an airbnb, travelling by train with another friend.

I am enjoying the challenge of finding great deals, and making my money stretch as far as, possible. Having somewhere to travel to every six weeks or so really appeals to me. No young dc to think about anymore, and only our time and finances to consider.

Does anyone do this? Do you like to get bang for your buck and do more holidays, or have one of two big splurges?

I love travelling !

You will get the best deals if you go before of after Easter, summer, half term, Xmas holidays etc

Best deal before covid, was £150 for a week in canaries in hotel in Oct, which included flights, but no food. The week after during half term it was £800+ !

Also mid week static caravan in Oct in UK, less than £100 at seaside. Also avoided school holidays

I do the same thing op.

As many holidays as possible.

Keeps life exciting when you only ever have a few weeks to wait til your next trip! Grin

Enjoy every one of them op! And the same to everyone else here with lovely holiday plans!

I'm loving all these holiday plans. . I'm obviously not alone in my love of holidays and finding a bargain. 😄 just added to my itinerary. Bought a travelzoo voucher for a couple of nights in the Cotswolds with dinner for one of the nights. My calender for 2022 is filling up nicely.

@BubblinTrouble

Ah stop it! We used to do this pre baby. Loved having something to look forward to every couple of weeks. No more fun for us now with DD who’s 6 months old. Go and have a fab time and enjoy yourself!
Why would your baby stop you? I’ve traveled loads with my little girl!
Seaweedhair · 15/10/2021 22:25

We used to do this loads! The best value places we went to were Budapest, Krakow, Prague and Santiago de Compostela. Also found some cracking random bargains on the package holiday sites if you can be flexible with dates. Enjoy all the planning - looking forward to holidays is half the fun! Sadly got little ones now, so no hols for us for a while but I think its a fab idea!

I have decided to do this too. I’m not great at getting bargains though. Tips needed!

@Drumshambo thank you. I hope so too. As long as we all get through the winter ok, I can’t think teens will still be banned from going anywhere next spring / summer.
