A few pounds shy of 6 stone Sad

I was hoping it was more like 4.

I am going back as from today to reducing my carbs, cutting out chocolate, biscuits and other nonsense as of today but it feels like such a mountain to climb.

I know I'm being U for whining because I'm the one who gained the weight - basically by eating constantly during the last 19 months of WFH, now of course I wish I'd stopped sooner. Maybe when I"d only gained 3st Blush

At the moment I just feel like such a fat (f)lump...hence the name change.

Like yesterday I ate fruit (two handfuls of grapes, a pot of pomegranate seeds, an apple), a scrambled egg, beans and a slice of wholemeal toast, 2 slices of halloumi, salad, chicken breast and a small amount of rice. Which was possibly more than I should have, but it was only day 1. Am trying to do better today.

That sounds like a great balanced diet. Don't put yourself under pressure to eat too little. If your portion sizes are too big then it can be helpful to weigh it before you cook so you're not tempted to serve yourself too much. But i would say that above is a really great start.

Sounds like you've been landed with a slow metabolism, sorry to hear that!

It makes me sad to hear you taking about what you "should" have done and that you're trying to do better, as if you've somehow failed or are a bad person for weighing more than you did or eating a certain food.
